The association between sleep related breathing disorders and pulmonary hypertension is complex. Hypoxia, hypercoacugulability and systemic inflammation associated with sleep related breathing disorders may result in incresase in pulmonary vascular pressure. Treatment of sleep related breathing disorders may improve pulmonary arterial pressures. Clinical researches are needed to understand if the treatment of sleep related breathing disorders will improve pulmonary hypertension.

Keywords: Sleep, sleep related breathing disorders, pulmonary hypertension
